DOCRETRIEVER is an indexing and search engine
which enables users to search for documents on a CD
without needing to install software on the PC.
DOCRETRIEVER has two parts:
1) The indexing engine which creates the searchable
index out of the content of the CD. This index needs to
be loaded on the CD before distribution
2) The search software which is loaded on the CDs to
allow users to search through the content.
Features
- Any textual content in the form of HTML,
WORD, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint etc. can be searched upon
using DOCRETRIEVER
- Search interface can be customized
- Words searched for are highlighted and linked to
other documents containing the same word thus allowing
for easy navigation for user
